The Spier complex, situated just outside Stellenbosch, is an entertainment centre with restored Cape Dutch buildings and historical werf, hotel complex, restaurants, conference centre, amphitheatre, wine cellar and working farm. There a rane of venues to choose from. Figaro's, in the hotel, is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with cuisine revolving round fresh Cape produce, with the adjoining Toto's Bar, for the not-so-hungry. The Jonkershuis boasts an edge-to-edge Cape-Malay buffet, extending from soup and farm breads through cold dishes, salads, hot bredies and curries to traditional desserts and cheeses. The Taphuis Grill offers informal, family-friendly riverside meals from pasta and fish to steaks and burgers, and the Riverside Pub is open for relaxed, light meals and big TV screen to view sporting events, while The Coffee Shop has pastries, sandwiches and light meals. Also available are a range of picnic baskets to enjoy on riverside lawns, and a farmstall to pack your own picnic basket .
